Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus for the course is drafted ideally by the faculty members of my college. This would provide students with learning of various topics and subjects related to Economics and Statistics and Econometrics. Apart from practicals and research work are also included in the curriculum.
Placement Experience
Most of the students in my department get placed with reliable packages through the annual placement event where various companies and firm visits. Apart from that internships are mandatory for students to help them gain real-life experience.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Madras University for Distance Learning is a government-affiliated university so the fee structure is quite less compared to the private colleges. The fee structure for BA Economics costs around Rs 5400 per year which is quite affordable for me and other students.
Campus Life
Even though students are learning from distance education still college conducts various activities and events in which we can participate and learn from it. Apart from that college also consists of various amenities such as a library, sports complex, etc which students could avail of their benefits.
Admission
To seek admission in the college you have to fill the online admission prospectus form with all your details and your marks in Class 10 and 12. After that, if you are inducted in the admission list provided by the university you have to visit campus and submit your documents.
Faculty
A faculty member of the Economics department is highly accomplished and very kind towards the students. They try to teach students with real-life examples and diagrams through which we can get a good amount of knowledge about economics and other topics.
