Remarks

Distance learning at University of madras has been helpful because I gained institutional knowledge without going to the campus because of financial reasons. I did not face problems when I applied for B.Sc in Psychology online.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course has prepared me well enough and I have no complaints about it because now I can apply for a Masters in Psychology without feeling like that I haven?t learnt as much as the ones who studied in Universities with face to face interactions with the professors. We are internal exams and external exams for 25 marks and 75 marks respectively making a total of 100 marks per semester for the core paper as well as the minor subjects.

Placement Experience

2

I am unaware of the placements and have not heard about it. I plan to continue studying psychology and apply for a masters degree and I believe, I will be getting more familiar with the placements and job opportunities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is 16,500 rupees for three years. I had applied for scholarships because I fall under the category of scheduled caste. I applied for scholarships and I was satisfied. I also received 500 rupees more for buying books. As a whole, I believe, the fee structure is affordable.

Campus Life

Distance Learning doesn't allow me to be a part of events physically but the classes taken are helpful. I do not know about the other aspects of the college. I am satisfied with what I have received and what the college does for me.

Admission

I applied for online admission process and was selected on the basis of merit after completing my higher secondary (10+2) from a reputed and well-known examination board in India. I completed an online application.

Faculty

4

There are very few professors for psychology. I believe, my experience would have been better if there were more faculty members. All the faculty members have received the maximum amount of education.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.
