Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum and Exam Structure Is very smooth at the time of studying. we have regular guest lecturer on the topics and the teacher gave us brief knowledge on the topics of Indian Writing in English, Literature in English, prosody, philosophy, linguistics, poetics, folk literature etc. The course duration is for 2 years with 4 semesters. Monthly exams are taken by the teachers.
Placement Experience
Placement is average because the college has some countable companies who come every year to provide jobs. Yes, some of my seniors got a job in good companies. The interviews also depend on the ability of a student. Face to face interviews and English ability test is taken by the students at the time of interview. Also, pre-placement practice is provided by the management so that students won't face any issue at the time of interview.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Being a government college the fees is feasible. for the first year, I paid my Semester fees Rs 7120, Admission Fee Rs. 600, Identity Card Fee Rs. 60, University Magazine Fee Rs. 60, Corpus Fund Rs. 1000, Library Fee Rs. 350, Sports Fee Rs. 200, Medical Fee Rs. 50, Examination Fee Rs. 750, Grade sheet Fee Rs. 120, Students? Welfare Fund Rs. 100, Transport Fee Rs. 500, Internet Fee Rs. 350 and Group Insurance Rs. 500.
Campus Life
My college has a modern Central Library which is equipped with 8500+ e-Journals, e-books, popular magazines, CCTV cameras for the security, Computer Centre and the library has a capacity of 800 students at a time. The college has a well-managed Hostel facility for both boys and girls which has approx 236 rooms, Hygiene mess facility, attached washroom, waiting area, table, chair and a fan. A computer centre is provided by the college so that students could use high-speed internet Through the provider of BSNL broadband services. The college organises annual and cultural events every year.
Admission
To get admission in the college a candidate must have a undergraduate degree with english as a compulsory subject in graduation and student should have minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a government recognized University in india. The SC/ST/PwD candidates will get a relaxation of 5% as per government rules. also the Maximum as should 30 years. The admission is provided on the basis of merit list and the entrance is conducted by the college.
Faculty
The Faculties are very good as they conduct regular Special lectures by eminent scholars, and also conduct seminars and workshops for the students to brief the students about the topics. Some of my favourite teachers are Mr Sanjeet Kumar Das, Dr Y. M. Banshelkikar, Prof. V. R. Badiger, Ms Rachna and Mr Uma Sankar Padhy. They are the gems of my course because they always help us in our studies.
