BKGC - A true Pioneer of Contemporary Education.

Our college provides a well curated course in history honours with a perfect blend of ancient, medieval and contemporary world. It is a 3 year course and is career orienting in nature. My favorite part is the history of Europe and it is truly fascinating.

The placement cell in our college persistently encourages the students to go through different training programs in order to become the perfect industry-required employee. Even, our college has introduced a number of schemes to guide us on this part. Academy of Competitive Examination, Fundamental English course, Computer education, Distance mode of education, Super Career fair with IQST are some of these schemes. Alongwith this, placements are also offered in Axis Bank, TCS, Marriott, ITC, Spicejet etc.

The fee structure in our college is quite reasonable when compared with other parallel college in West Bengal. I pay a sum of Rs. 3280, annually as a history honours student. However it is more or less same for the other B.A hons. departments as well.

The Sports and Games department of our college is extremely active. We had consistent success in many intercollege and state tournaments. We have a Sports Board which is supervised by a highly qualified sports instructor. Moreover, we also have a NCC and NSS department which provides ample opportunities to the students to engage in social service. Seminars and workshops are equally encouraged and even we are taken on study tours every year.

Our institution provides hostel accommodation to the outstation candidates and it is situated in the college premises. It is highly secured and the hygienic standards are maintained. We have a library, common room, gym and other entertainment facilities in the hostel.

Selection to undergraduate courses in BKGC is purely based on the candidate's performance in the HS or other equivalent examinations. The minimum qualification required to get an admission is to pass this qualifying examination. However, initially we had to register ourselves through an online application form and later, based on the merit list we were granted admission.

Our department faculties are truly the best. They are very supportive and helps us with the projects and research works. Our teachers also encourage us for different competitive exam preparations. Moreover, they are adequately qualified and the teaching quality is superb.
