The English Honours course is for 3 years. Every year we had to appear for 2 semesters. 1st semester deals with the Indian and European Classical Literature.2nd semester deals with the British Poetry and Drama. 3rd semester includes Linguistics and Popular literature. 4th semester deals with the British Literature of the 18th and 19th century. 5th semester focuses on various Women Writing and British Literature( Post World War II). And the last semester covers Modern European Dramas, Post Colonial Literature and Partition Literature.

Unfortunately, our college does not have the facility of a placement cell. Although, we are not provided with job facilities, we are mentored properly and entirely so that we can compete successfully in the real world. Our college also have a computer zone where we can apply for various Computer courses.

The fees structure is extremely nominal.We had to pay our fees altogether for a year( 2 semesters). Besides, capable students are also offered scholarships which further benefit them. The best thing about our college is that it maintains transparency and that no extra money is charged.

Our college also offers various scholarships to students, only if they are worthy of it. The students who are excellent in their studies but belong from economically weaker families are also provided financial assistance. Besides, students can also apply for various scholarship schemes in the college organised by the government.

Our campus is very eco-friendly. Students maintain a harmonious relationship with each other. Majority of the students are good in academics. Alongside academics, our college celebrates Annual Sports every year. Even, professors participate in various games and events. AIDS Day, NSS and NCC Day is also celebrated in our college.

I had got some of the best seniors in my college. The senior-junior bonding is beyond words. Our seniors helped us in our studies. We were welcomed with an extraordinary 'Freshers' . They even helped us in arranging various events and programs.

Bethuadahari college is one of the best college in Nadia,West Bengal. It is under the University of Kalyani. The admission process is similar to majority of the colleges under the University of Kalyani. We had to fill an online application form. The eligibility criteria for admission is that the students have to score an aggregate of atleast 45% in their 10+2 and that they must have an aggregate of 50% in English. After few days the merit list was uploaded on the college website. My name was put up on the second merit list and then, I took my admission.

Our professors were good. We had only one in-house Professor and 2 guest lecturers.The guest lecturers were young professors who were very friendly and cooperative. We could easily reach out to our professors in case we needed their help. We had very interesting lectures which gave us added knowledge about the areas we are taught.
