Course Curriculum Overview
My course had a lot of Chaucer, Shakerspeare, Kant, and all the major figures in English. The curriculum was not bad... They had exams at the end of every semester for six semesters and a end of year project work which we would count as dissertation
Placement Experience
The college is a private instirution so it does not offer a lot of opportunities as per placement service. They still do have companies like Wipro and TCS visiting to recruit students. The college also gives us trainings like mock interviews and CV enhancements.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I studied BA english general course which cost me around Rs. 5,710 per year. That could be paid at the beginning of the year. The college also took admission fees, library fees and some other fees. They were very transparent about the fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships provided by the government and the college for certain students likeThe Chief Minister Relief Fund, The Jindal Group Scholarships. There are also somr fee concessions for the children of LIC Officials and Factory Workers.
Campus Life
Our college had many extra curricular activites lined up for us. We had clubs organised by the students and others like NSS and NCC. The college conducted programs like annual days and celebrations of festivals. We also had a college magazine and wall magazines organised by departments.
Admission
I applied in the reception and submitted copied of my certificates, few weeks later the college contacted me to tell me that i got shortlisted. The admin staff were very nice and helpful. They were also welcoming and kind.
Faculty
Our faculty consisted some of the brightest minds and they were very welcoming. They made sure we understood what was taken. They made sure that the topics they took came across properly and that they were available for us periodically.
