Remarks
My time in the college was full of new experiences. It was more like I was getting to know myself and my talents better with each day. I think what the college did was give me a support system and a competitive edge, and I am really thankful for that.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course covers all the major styles and ages of English language and literature. We were taught everything from Chaucer to the Victorian age, to the contemporary grammar and Shakespeare's English and had a few electives to choose from including Language and Linguistics (my favorite) and Indian writing in translation. The exam pattern is the normal written test and assignments.
Placement Experience
We had a fully functional placement cell, along with in house interviews. Though a lot of my batch-mates opted for higher studies, those of us who wanted to start working found decent packages as freshers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for the entire two year course was about sixteen thousand, which is not only affordable but also justified. If you compare that with the rest of the colleges, the fee structure is fair, especially when you consider the kind of academic and practical training that you receive.
Campus Life
We had many interesting extracurricular activities all the time including literary pageants, writing workshops, seminars, inter-class dramatics, peace writing competition, tableau, poetry recitation, depictions, etc. The department had a Theater and Journalism Club, which was pretty cool. We also had a virtual library, book bank and an in-house journal. My interactions with the my peers and seniors was very good, and I had some really wonderful classmates.
Admission
I think Auxilium College is a smart choice when it comes to combining conventional courses with the professional rigor of the present times. So, I filled up the application form and posted it. I was asked to appear for an interview after which I was selected for admission.
Faculty
We had wonderful and passionate teachers who used the latest practices in teaching. We were taught using the conventional lectures and a mix of regular assignments, paper presentations, book reviews, virtual laboratories and research projects.
