Remarks

College campus is good with a homely environment. Classes are super awesome with projector and split AC. Other facilities like library, auditorium, cafeteria, playground are also good. Overall, the college is best in all aspects and trust me I had my awesome 4 years in this place.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.Des is a 4 year undergraduate course. The course includes a detailed study of the market trends and the related fashion. It provides knowledge of creating original designs in garments, footwear, jewellery, luggage etc and provides study of the ever changing trends in the fashion industry and market.

Placement Experience

Placements are so good and over 80 percent plus students got selected by top companies. Top recuriting companies like Bata, Relaxo, Decathalon, Flipkart, Reliance, Louis Philippe and other top companies come for selecting students. The highest salary package offered goes up to 12 LPA and lowest package offered is of 3 LPA. Top roles offered to the students are as a designer and merchandisers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fees for this 4 year course is Rupees 6.23 lakhs which is little exorbitant. To make the fee structure reliable and feasible college allows students to submit their fees in 4 installments of 151,800 per year.

Campus Life

Any place without fun is incomplete and boring. So for entertainment and fun, our college provide lots of extracurricular fun activities for their students. Designing competitions, fashion shows, beauty competitions, college sports, cultural competitions are some of the task organised by college. These all activities and events provides good exposure to us.

Admission

I selected this course because it is different from other courses and there are ample of scopes for designing in future. I got admission in this course on the basis of merit in national level AIST examination organised by the institute.

Faculties are highly skilled, knowledgable and professional in our college. Their teaching quality is best. Their teaching methods are very simple and understandable. They provides us regular updated notes with extra knowledge. All faculties are always ready to help students.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
