Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is really interesting and wide. It covers a lot of important topics during the 3 years. By the end of the course, your knowledge in the discipline really advances. The course isn't that hectic at all. It's just the right amount of coursework. Exams are held every semester.
Placement Experience
Since the college majorly provides Arts and Humanities related courses there aren't much placement opportunities for the students. There might be for other management related courses but I am not aware of it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college is affiliated to Gauhati University and is government-run therefore the fee is really low and feasible. The students with BPL cards are given free admissions as well. The college believes that everyone deserves education no matter their financial conditions.
Campus Life
There's a cell maintained in the college for extracurricular activities. There are all kinds of activities; sports and games, drama and fine arts, literary cell, nature-society, computer literacy cell, etc. These cells help students to follow their interests.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I stay at the hostel provided by the college. There are 2 hostels for boys and one for girls. There are strict rules in the hostel and a timetable to follow. The total hostel fee is Rs. 7,400. The girl's hostel is RCC type and boys' is Assam type. The hostel is very clean and spacious too.
Admission
The admission process of the college is pretty straightforward. They conduct an entrance exam. They test the basic linguistic, thought-organizational skills or competency through the exam. My department was one of the oldest in the college
Faculty
We had a great faculty to lead us. All of them well-qualified. Most of them had passed NET. They have years of experience in teaching. The classes are really productive and stimulating. They don't restrict themselves to the syllabus but always gives us valuable information from outside of it.
