3 Memorable Years of My Life

Our campus is eco-friendly. The best part about our college is that it is a plastic-free zone. The classrooms are small but airy. The labs are well maintained. The quality of the food served in the canteen is also good.

The course is for 3 years. The syllabus is huge but manageable. We had to appear for 2 semesters every year. Beside, the University exams, our college even assessed us with internal exams which helped us to prepare our texts in advanced. Our syllabus included History Of English Literature; various novels, dramas and short stories.

There are not many placement opportunities; not may companies visited our college. Sometimes, companies like TCS and WIPRO do visit and offer jobs to the qualified and able students. Some of my friends even applied for internship offered by our college.

Different departments of our college arranges various seminars on important topic of discussion. Department of Philosophy once arranged a Symposium on Body- The Miracle Underneath; was highly influential. Workshops are also arranged by the college.

We had to pay Rs 6,210 per year which is neither too expensive nor too nominal. But, for the students who come from a economically weaker background, paying this amount is quite a trouble. For the benefit of such students our college also has scholarship programs available.

Every year our college organises Annual Sports can comes up with very commendable performances. Our college is also equipped with state-of-the-art gymnasium. The NSS section of the college arranges for various heath related workshops. The NSS also arranges various debate and drawing competition. Most of the students of our college comes from a middle-class background and majority of them are sincere in their studies.

The eligibility criteria for B.A(Hons) in English is an aggregate of 55% marks in 10+2 examination with 60% marks in English. We had to fill an online application form available on the college website. Based on our marks, the college released its merit lists. My name was in the 1st merit list. Then, I was called for a counselling and later I was granted admission.

The professors our department were very qualified. They were a constant support to us for 3 years. All of them believed in interactive classes. They always had some solutions to our problems.Beside teaching they even participated in various events organised by us.
