Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is a 2 year study, 4 semesters which are evenly distributed. The syllabus gives deep insight into advanced knowledge of mass media which includes radio, television etc. My personal interest was in study of the television productions.
Placement Experience
The recruitment process of the Institute is very smooth. Some top companies participate in the process and 50% of the students achieve a position for themselves in some company or the other. Internship is mandatory so, it is taken care by the Institute.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is on the plus side. It is around Rs. 1 lakh per year though it is expensive but, I can ensure you that it will lead you to success and a productive career life afterwards. Even I had to speak to my parents about managing the cost of my master's education which you may also have to do.
Campus Life
The extra curricular activities are limited to workshops and participation in committees. The workshops were of great use as outsiders would conduct them and would give us more and more additional information about the media companies work system.
Alumni/Alumna
The network and connections of the alumni are well intact. The Institute organises meetups and has formed an alumni Association that is very active and supports the final year students whenever possible.
Admission
More easier than even bachelors degree was the admission to Masters. All that was needed to do was to attach the necessary documents and the bachelor's degree to the registeration form. I had to pay for the form fee fir final submission and within 3 - 5 days, I got the letter stating my admission finalization.
Faculty
The teachers in the Institute have their own specialization and have the capability to teach students very well. I was always very attentive during the practical lessons that required the teacher's assistance.
