Course Curriculum Overview
In my 3 year course which consists of 6 semesters, the focus was on main subjects of English literature including British and classical literature, popular literature, European drama, poetry, content writing etc.
Placement Experience
Yes, the college provides various placement opportunities to students. Those who score good during the semesters, gets placements and jobs easily. They prepare you for future placements by seminars and workshops.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees of the college is very reasonable. For BA(hons), fees at my time was ?1,900 per year including the tuition fees which is totally affordable. Fees may vary if you are opting B.sc or B.com, honours or general.
Campus Life
There is a central library, well furnished classrooms, computer lab, WiFi facilities, canteen, laboratories etc in the college. Overall the infrastructure of the college is pretty amazing with a playground where all events takes place.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, there is availability of hostel for the students. The hostel is named ""Maitree"" and the overall facilities and infrastructure of the hostel is impressive. CCTV cameras are enabled around the hostel for safety and the place is very hygienic.
Admission
Admission in the college is entirely based on your merit. For an honours course, you need to get a minimum of 45% marks in you 12th exams which must be from a recognized board. I got admission by filling the application form given online or it is also available in the college office.
Faculty
In the English department, the faculty comprises of 5 professors who are highly experienced and are well versed with their subject. Their different teaching methods makes learning more fun. Very helful and supportive.
