My Journey at Maharaja Bir Bikram College!

I pursued B.A (H) in History. My course curriculum had a lot of great subjects like Indian History, International History as well as allied subjects like Economic History and Political History. Exams used to happen every semester at the end.

For courses like mine, the placement opportunities are not much. Mostly people who pursue history go for teaching jobs or go for masters and PhD. Our college provided assistance to students who wanted to go for any teaching job in school and colleges.

Our college was very culturally vibrant. A lot of students used to come to study here from different parts of India. So, to make them feel at home our college hosts a lot of events to celebrate all festivals as well Annual College Fests where students participate in various events.

The fees for my course is very nominal. I paid 2500 for one year which makes it 7500 for the entire course. This included the tuition fees and the administration fees. The exam fees were charged separately but even that was pretty inexpensive.

Extracurricular activities like sports tournaments, cultural events were done a lot by the students of the college. Sports competitions included races, cricket matches, football etc. Cultural events were held where students put up music and dam=nce performances on special occasions.

I got admission in this college through the merit list. I applied by filling up a form and submitting documents like DOB and 12th result mark sheet. Then i was called for counselling and got admission.

Our faculty was very well educated and were great teachers. They used to give such informative notes and reading material that our exam prep became so much easier. They used to take doubt classes too.
