NIT Agartala, Mixed Emotions

To be honest I willingly didnot chose EE as my course, I triedfor CSE. As i did not scored enough marks to qualify for this, that is why i had to chose EE as during the counselling process, it was the best cpurse available for me but this branch is also good. There are many well qualified faculties available in this college. Honestly speaking yes there are some teachers who explains very well that will make you love the particular subject but there are also some teachers that you cant understand at all. Sometimes what happens is that, we students are not clear if the syllabus of what were taught during the period. The only problem is that before two or 3 days prior to exam, they announce which exam is when, And there is so minimal gap between two exams that you cant prepare or revise much.

There are many oppurtunities available . In my case, EE The college itself willl give you an internship. Also we need to do an industrial training for our coourse which is very useful for expereience. But you can apply for core as well as IT internsips and placements and all

If i say it clearly. You can apply for internships even after 1st year or semester but what really matters is time if you are dedicated for that the please do it But ideally you are applicable for on campus internships from 3rd year. After my bTech degree i am planning to pursue MTech in EE

The detailed fee structures depends on the caste of the student actually. In my case, as i am an SC student, mine varies from Rs 5000-6000 each semester registration and the fees are adjusted accordingly. But for other caste students the fees may be little more but not too much. Also i availed a Scholarship based on my marks and performance in earlier studies and because of my caste and my father's income. But there are many useful scholarships available too for other caste students

Life at campus is really good especially during the 1st and 2nd year after that some fading comes but still so good. There are many events organised by different clubs which makes college life interesting and fun. Yes there is one Central Library available near the CSE Department and nearly all books, journals, nobels, etc are available here. Yes there are canteens everywhere around the college even nearby college places. there is a Shopping Comples where you can enjoy and eat with your friends and also there is Sports Complex where gym, and playing grounds, playing courts are available

My main reason applying for that college was that the college is very near to my home only 2-3 kms from our home. So that's the main reason i applied for ot. Yes i also tried for diiferent colleges like VIT, KIT but although my exams scores were good almost, but mainly due to my frequent health issues it will be logistically pursue my course if i stay ill most of the time

Yes, talking baout the course structure, your main course will start from 2nd year. In first year, you subjects will include all the basics ofstreams available in college. After the completion of first year, if you have desired CGPA, then you can also change your current branch to your loved branch. Every year has two semesters. Each semester has two term examinations, Mid Term Exams(20 marks) and End term exams(50 marks) plus 30 marks for internal assessments like assignments, class tests and all. Difficulties on subject depends upon whether you are studying it or not but also if the teacher or faculty that is teaching is good or not. That is dependable actually, some may like it some may not. There are 6 grades with credits for passing each subject(Ex 90+, A 80+, B 70+, C 60+, D 50+, P 40+ and F failed <40marks). If someone unfortunately gets and F he/she needs to give supplementary exam for that subject of 70 Marks. As i am a dayscholar, I cant really say about that. But during fest nights and all the atmosphere hits electric and differnet. You will have a hell of a night enjoying with your friends and companions with music, events, dance, drama and all. The famous hangout place in my opinion is our KNowledge Park, and the park near TSR Battalion
