Remarks
Management was okay, fees structure were pathetic, campus was great. Being situated at Panvel, it was a pain to travel everyday to college from Thane.
Entrance Preview
I was a diploma student before entering into Engineering. We had to fill a centralized form and enter names of the colleges as per your preferences. You automatically get admission as per your percentage in 3rd year of diploma.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was not that great. It was more of a theoretical rather than being practical. Also, the curriculum was outdated and did not include the recent programming advances/languages.
Internships Opportunities
All major tech companies - Like LnT, TCS, Capgemini, HCL, Wipro used to visit our campus for campus hirings and offered a salary of around INR3L/Annum in 2009.
Placement Experience
Not sure on the number of students placed. As mentioned in the previous answer all major tech companies of that time used to visit our campus.
College Events
All kinds of tech competitions like Robotics, and many other gaming competitions used to happen in college premises. Also, we had a huge annual festival as well with rock bands performing during the festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was kind of expensive for a B grade engineering college. And the management used to ask for additional fees just before exams and we were not allowed to sit for the exams if the fees were not paid. Students had gone on strike to protest this money laundering activities but there was no use.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, the college did not have any specific scholarship/loan facility. It only had the regular discounts for the lower caste students. But did not have any specific loan facilities for other college students and not even scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus life was great. I did not come across any gender bias or religion bias during my college life. All students were equal and enjoyed together as well as studied together. It was fun to take part in robotics and debate competitions and fashion shows were the best.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities and food were above average and similar to a regular engineering college. I was staying at home and so did not have the exact feedback on the mess, the food served at hostel or the other facilities. But hearing from my friends, it was okay and they did not have any major problem with it.
Alumni/Alumna
We did not have an extensive alumni network during 2009. But with advancement of social media currently, the network is developing. Recently, I got an email from a second year engg student of my college regarding some technical help they needed from me in an app development. This was indeed a proud moment to have been contacted by some student of your past college after 7 years.
Exam Structure
It was kind of chilled out and we had the regular semester exams and internals tests for internal markings.
Faculty
Some of the Faculty was good and had great experience in their respective subjects that they thought us. But others were pathetic and were themselves learners or just passouts/freshers with no jobs.
