Remarks

The infrastructure of our college is very good. All the rooms are very clean and spacious. The washrooms are regularly cleaned. We had a gymnasium in the campus. The canteen provided good quality foods at a cheap price.

Course Curriculum Overview

The duration of the course is of 3 years. The syllabus was good and interesting. We got to learn about the history of the evolution of the language, Sanskrit. We were taught about the theories of studying Sanskrit and various works in it. Every year 2 semester exams were taken.

Placement Experience

There is an official placement cell and training cell in our college.The cell encourages us to take part in training programs and aptitude tests to ensure maximum placements to the students. Companies like WIPRO, JIO, Bandhan Bank visited our college to offer job to the good students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the college is feasible and affordable. Fee is charged for every semester. No hidden charge is there. For benefits of the needy students, scholarship programs were also arranged. Many of my friends could easily complete their education because they were provided scholarships.

Campus Life

Our college is one of the best college in extracurricular activities. Various indoor and outdoor games are available in our campus. Laboratories are well equipped. Students maintain a stable and calm environment in the college.The academic performance of our department is also good.

Admission

At first, we had to fill an online application form from their official website. All the personal informations, academic details had to be put in the form .Then , the college published its merit list on the basis of our 10+2 exam result. I got my name in the merit list and so I went to the college for the verification of the documents. Lastly, I took my admission.

We had two professors. Both of them were very qualified and professional. They used many teaching techniques so that we like what we are taught. They showed us powerpoint presentations and videos on our texts. They were our guide.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

College Life in Behala College

Usually usually in my time that is 2023 call you admission was to be held without any admission test full stop the student must provide respective marks of the class 12 board exams related to the course and feeling the website for each and every college they want to apply. Merit list is created on the basis of the marks code from various students approaching the college is number of seats are left then each student gets occupied filling the seat and getting admission. But recently I have heard that our state minister have organised a new website where a student can apply to all the colleges falling under Calcutta University and other University as well by feeling up one form and applying directly to the various colleges. A merit list is created on the basis of the college list selected and seats allotted to a particular college if the number of seats are finished in a desert college without the student getting a chance the student can sit from mop up round upgradation round. Behala college is the only college in Kolkata having a NAAC grade of A++ because of the huge infrastructure and facilities I did not apply to admission do I got in to other colleges because of this sole reason....Read More
