MHT-CET, I took this college as I wanted to do my engineering in Chemical and it is one of the best college for the chemical department in Pune University.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is set by Pune University and is quite tough as for all engineering students but papers are almost repeat so no big problem in passing.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are only for chemical department and it is unpaid as it is of 15 n 30 days only, carried out in summer holidays after second year and third year.
Placement Experience
Quite good for IT field while core people seems to be left out at large. Highest payment of my batch went to 12 lakhs by barclays while average is in range of 2.4 - 3.2 lakhs. As MIT is a brand, many big fishes do visit the college.
College Events
Not very enthusiastic about events. Nakshatra is the college cultural weekend while each department carries out its own technical event. Robocon is the biggest event organised by college.
Fees and Financial Aid
All government scholarships are available in college and also college provides some assistance to students who are from backward classes who can't afford their expenses. But no. of such students is around 5 a year.
Alumni/Alumna
Not quite as required. Some alumni do stay in touch but not enough. Alumni meet is held every first monday of December but no. of alumni visiting are in 50-60.
Exam Structure
Was fixed by Pune University till now but from year 2016-17 college has bagged autonomy so will be able to fix it itself.
Faculty
Some cool, some cold. Some are really helpful and some need serious help. You have to converse with them to extract knowledge as many of them are mediocre with english speaking skills.
