Course Curriculum Overview
The Zoology course includes some great topics, that are both interesting and informative. The course focusses on getting us ready for the professional sphere. The allied subjects of Chemistry and Botany add more depth and range to our knowledge. The course is divided into six semesters.
Placement Experience
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell helps us prepare for life beyond the course. They conduct soft skills training programmes and orientations. They help prepare for competitive examinations such as UPSC, and also connect to recruiters. A number of firms come for placement, but not everyone recruits Zoology graduates. Some such firms are AGS Healthcare, Freedom Concept School, Indian Helath Care (BPO) recruit students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure in the programme is quite low and affordable, such that the course is affordable to students from differetn backgrounds. The cost is only 795 rupees per year, and that is quite feasible.
Campus Life
There are a number of clubs for different extracurricular activities, such as IT club, Enviro club, Debate club, Quiz club, Media club and Health and fine arts club. There's also a good focus on sports, with a number of different sports such as cricket, basketball and athletics
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facilities are available on campus, and the facilities are quite good. The rooms were clean and airy, with daily water supply and sports and medical facilities available, and other entertainment and recreational facilities
Admission
The application to this college is online, through their official portal. The eligibility is 10+2 examinations, which is the selection methodology as well to decide who gets in. Auxilium has a great reputation, and is the oldest women's college in the region.
Faculty
The faculty members were helpful. They had their own different teaching techniques which were great in helping understand the topics and do well in the examinations. Their advice was also important during and beyond the course.
