Course Curriculum Overview

There are various specialisations in this course. I have been inclined towards politics that?s why I selected political science. It talks about the working of the political system. There are subjects dedicated to the indian laws and regulations, political parties etc.

Placement Experience

The college provides the employment opportunities to the students. But the students have to be outstanding performers in order to get a good job. I have been working as a researcher with a private company.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee charged by the college is ? 5,135. It is a bare minimum fee for the undergraduate course. The students can make payment across all the three academic years. The amounts are ?1,745 , ? 1,695 and ? 1,695.

Campus Life

The students are motivated to take part in workshops conducted by the college. The students also have an access to the library. They are also encouraged to be a part of social camps organised by the state .

Alumni/Alumna

The college asks us to register with the alumni association at the time of our graduation. The college takes our opinion seriously for the development of the college. Sometimes they even call for sponsorship.

Admission

The admission process is totally based on the merit list. The students have to qualify the selection criteria as mentioned by the college. The students have to pass the pre degree examination with a good score.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

THERE ARE FAR BETTER OPTIONS

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

The admission process is merit-based. The college doesn't take any entrance examination but 10+2 result is important here. Eligibility criteria are minimum 45-50%marks in admission in general course and 70-75% to take honours courses.
