Remarks

I chose this college because it is a reputed college in Kolkata. It specialises in the course it provides. The faculty is also highly qualified and experienced. The college infrastructure is also good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was up to date. We were taught the curriculum through case studies. The teachers were highly experienced and they shares with us the stories and what they have learned while working in the industry. We had to appear for exams regularly.

Course Fees: INR 135000 per year

Placement Experience

Our college has a placement cell which serves as a medium of communication between the students and the industry. Our college makes the students competent and skilled. Many companies come every year to recruit meritorious students. The top recruiters are CMS, CMC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, IBM, Infosys.

College Events

Our college organises a range of extra curricular activities throughout the year. Our college organises events like debates, declamations, poster making etc. Our college also hosts sports tournaments like cricket and football.

Campus Life

The campus infrastructure was well built and maintained. The classrooms were spacious and airy. There is a library with a rich collection of books and journals. There labs are air conditioned and WiFi enabled.

The admission is granted on the basis of merit.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
