Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of arts in economics hons is a honors level course which has the duration of 3 years and follows semester system. The course structure is focused on in depth study and research. The days are usually chilled. However, exams are tiring.

Placement Experience

The institution is good in its education and also has several opportunities and benefits for the students. However, there are no internships and job opportunities for the students. The students generally opt for higher studies and pursue government jobs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of ba economics hons is around less than 10 thousand which is a very feasible amount to pay for such a popular course. The institution provides with necessary resources and facilities to the students and hence the fees is affordable.

Campus Life

The institution has several sports activities like basketball, badminton etc including indoor games. Cultural events like annual functions, freshers and farewell party are also organized. Different competitions are also held.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied for Malda college, Malda women's college, gour college, presidency college and samsi college, I got a confirmed admission from samsi college. In that time my marks were not enough for Malda college and presidency college. And I want to do honours in english so I did my course from samsi college.
