Remarks

Management was a bit liberal.but some stupid and strict rules were there for library.Teachers and HOD's were really supportive and friendly. canteen facility were good. Easy local Train routes.

Entrance Preview

In year 2009 I took AIEEE, WBJEE, IIT, BCECE after my higher secondary and through WBJEE rank-42000 approx i got admission in this college. Two paper were there in the WBJEE exam 1) Maths 2) Physics and Chemistry we got the score and after that we had to attend the counselling on scheduled dates based on the ranks.for my rank i heard this was the best college.:) Past records were really good for JISCE, s finally I chose to join JIS in IT Dept.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

We had theory as well as practical classes in my college. In 1st year all the subjects for all the department were approx same. from 2nd year onwards dept related specific subjects were tought.one minor and major projects were mandatory during full courseminmum one industrial training is also mandatory.

Internships Opportunities

No stipend were offered if we want to join in any internship we had to bear all the expenses by our own. Two mandatory training we had to do throughout in our curriculum and the expenses are beard individually.

Placement Experience

2

Placements were the only thing in which our college was lagging. we had only few big companies for the placements(TCS, ITC, VARIZON.) and most of them were pool campus.many BPO's and small companies came for placement but they also recruited very less numbers.

College Events

3

Starting from the fresher's party to Farewell fest lots of events were organised in the college. apart from these we had technical fest organised. many IEEE seminars were also organised in the college. students from our college also participated in the technical fest in IIT's and other institute outside.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I spent around 3 lacks during my whole B Tech tenure on college fee.My hostel fee including lodging & fooding was 2540/-(approx)I felt fee structure was not that expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I don't know about any scholarship provided. But we can get loans i guess (though i didn't took any). we can get the scoohlarship

Campus Life

3

In my department girls vs boys ratio were approx same. We took part in all the events together in college as well as in hostel. starting from the fresher's party to Farewell fest lots of events were organised in the college as well as in Hostel. In hostel we also celebrated saraswati pooja and we get full support from our hostel warden.apart from these we had technical fest organised. many IEEE seminars were also organised in the college. students from our college also participated in the technical fest in IIT's and other institute outside.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities were really good. very strict security. We were sharing 3 persons in a room. Seperate cupboards were dere fr everyone. Geezers in washrooms, aquaguard, TV, proper recreation room were there.Food quality was also very good. hygienic dinning space was there. Tea+buiscuit in morning, lunch, snacks+tea in evening, dinneroverall Hostel was really very good

Alumni/Alumna

It's been only 1 year after I passed from the college, but from my experience I could say seniors were really very helpful. :-) Alumni groups are created but I am really not active in those groups. we are also connected through Linked in.

Exam Structure

We had three mandatory Internal exams and 1 external Exam per semester. Best of three Internal exams two were counted along with the final External exam for calculating the final CGPA. For practical exams we had viva + practical exam

Faculty

3

Faculty were very good for our dept. They were really very helpful and friendly. They help in the best possible way they can do. classes were taken regularly in our college

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
