Remarks
It is a Government College, and parental pressure may push you into situations you normally wouldn't go into. The placements were non-existent. The place looks nice during monsoon but becomes an absolute desert during the summer.
Course Curriculum Overview
The teachers try their best to support and educate the students. College is affiliated to SPPU, so the course followed is dictated by the university. The teachers are good people. Industrial visits happen, what you learn from them is up to you.
Placement Experience
The placements are limited to a few branches, and a majority of students up until 2018 had a rural background, so had a tough time clearing interview process. The alumni network is not huge as the college is fairly new.
College Events
Most of the events are for the college students, theres ab initio for technical, resonance for cultural, and combat for sports. These are mostly participated in by the students of the college itself. The college allows for University level competitions if the students push.
Campus Life
Academic infrastructure is good, sports not so much. You will have to travel to the sports facility in the nearby town of Manchar if u play anything that requires a court. For eg. Badminton or Basketball.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are spacious and well built with the super cheap fees of 500 bucks a year, but the food is dog shit. Honest opinion get a flat in the town closeby if you take this college. The hostels are awarded on basis of merit with some quota for J&K migrants.
