Remarks
I had heard from my seniors that vit is very pretty. although i wanted to get into vit vellore, but vit chennai was still not as bad as i thought it would be. I took a gap year to prepare for IIT-JEE exams in kota but obviosly was not successful and coming to vit felt like a failure but it wasnt. The campus as well as the learning environment is really good and makes you feel at home.Although VIT is known to be one of the strictest institutes for girls, the only issue being the 7pm deadline, apart from that its a well built college and i dont regret it.
Course Curriculum Overview
Academics in Vit is very well structured, apart from the theory and labs we have atleast one industry visit where we get a hands on learning experience and one industry speaker who briefs us on how the particular subject works in real time which is very helpful. Moreover the credit based system is really good as we get to choose our own subjects and thus can learn and study at our own pace.Obviously being south india, there are a few faculties that are pretty strict also known as "black listed faculties" who everyone should stay away from.DR.Nayeemulah khan the dean of acedemics for cse teaches a few subject and you'd be really lucky to get a seat in his class.
Placement Experience
Everybody knows how good VIT is at placeents. What you dont know is that even poeple with a low gpa will 7 do get placed somewhere or the other. And there is no company left that doesnt come for placements. Moreover, VIT Vellore and Chennai have their placements together so that is another thing one shouldnt worry about when choosing chennai over vellore.
College Events
We have two events every year, Vibrance and technovit. But if youre a part of a good club, you can also go and attend vit vellore's events gravitas and rivera. Vibrance being the cultural event is 3 days of just fun. every year the lineup of performers are amazing and just in 2019 right before the pandemic hit, we had vishal mishra which was a lot of fun
