Remarks
One of my friend's elder brother had gone to VIT Vellore and had spoken really high of this place. I had narrowed it down to VIT, MIT and BITs after not doing so well in my jee exams. And after writing all the exams, i found that the course style i preferred was of VIT. During counselling i had the option of choosing either IT in vellore or CSE in chennai and after seeing the rush of people trying to get into vellore, I thought chennai would be a better option for me.
Course Curriculum Overview
When i joined the course i was pretty happy with the way courses were designed for us. We are taken for an industry visit for almost every subject( although the main point in looking forward to it is the kfc and mcd stops we make for lunch)
Placement Experience
I've heard from the seniors that the placements are really good here. almost all the companies that visit vellore will come to chennai too and a good cgpa is important to only be eligible for the interview. after that most of them just care about your technical and management skills and experience.
College Events
So every year, there are two events. Vibrance which is the cultural event that happens in the winter sem in february and TechnoVit the technical event which happens in the fall sem in sept/oct. If youre a coding or mech person, technovit will be really fun but for others its just a break frm classes and to be able to dress up and eat all the good food.
