It's association with one of the most premier institutions of Kolkata, the remarkable placement statistics and the ecosystem which provides support to those who deserve it. Also, UEM is autonomous, and better than most tier 3 Kolkata colleges under MAKAUT.

Course syllabus is more evolved than MAKAUT colleges, and gets updated every year with latest updates. But still can be better. Industrial visits and discipline ensures good values, but with full freedom of creativity. Good CSE department faculties and placement opportunities

Interned at PAAS Research Limited, Gurugram as a Backend developer. Presently as a Web and Content developer at Agnos.io with a stipend of 15000 per month. Referred via our alumni, and then went through multiple rounds of interview, technical, aptitude and coding.

Almost all mass recruiters - TCS, Cognizant, Wipro etc allow UEM students for placement. Many startups and big companies also offer placements in different departments. Alumni network is also very strong with reputed alumni working in great companies all over India. Even some notable startups like Shattak, Rotonation, LearnBird etc have been incubated in UEMK ECell and IIC, which are recognised by MHRD, Government of India.

Among the biggest techno-management fests in Kolkata, Ureckon is organised with coding, gaming, innovation, business events, robotics, quiz etc. Cultural fest Ecstasia is also great with singing, dancing, drama, quiz, DJ nights etc. 5000+ footfall is achieved in all events, as it's among the best in the area.

Library is HUGE with sufficient books for 5000+ students across all departments and courses. Labs are well equipped. Wifi is available in some parts of campus. But due to relatively small size of campus, limited sports facilities. Basketball and badminton court are available. Indoor sports like TT and chess are also present.

Not availed personally, but my friends have very poor reviews about the hostel facilities. Many of my friends and juniors have even termed it as outright inhuman, with the only convenience being the easy access to college campus.
