Course Curriculum Overview
The course is still new compared to the other engineering disciplines. The curriculum is set to be of practical guide in the industrial scenario. The approach is good in regards to the practicality of the subjects. Easy going and adjustable syllabus for the benefit of the students. Further studying in this field is generally required for the efficiency of the practitioner. Industrial exposure is still limited, due to the lack of a proper sector in this particular field. The facilities available are average but the faculty make all the difference. Excellent and well established faculty members. Student friendly environment. Very helpful alumni.
Placement Experience
The placement rate in my field of study is very low, but that is due to the fact that most of the students in my field opt for further studies. But the placement cell is very good and are connected to many large companies.
College Events
The campus life is very enjoyable and student friendly. No ragging takes place. Everyone is well mannered. Extracurricular activities are performed by everyone, from students to teachers. The fests are organised with much enthusiasm and managed well. All the technical and management issues are particularly taken care of by different teams. It really instills a team spirit in you and also boost your confidence and leadership skills. The technical fest is very important occasion. This institution was the first in Kolkata to start the use of drones in competitions over here. Various clubs are present which organise various events in the technical fest. Sometimes media coverage is also allowed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college does not provide any scholarships. But there are various scholarships provided by the state and central government, that are accepted in this institution. Also via JEE mains students can avail the TFW category(for those who earn less than 200000 pa) and can get recession on the semester and admission fees.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is not on par with most other engineering institutes. There is no playground. Sports equipments are available. Library is good. Wifi not accessible all the time. Labs are average and in some cases equipments are old.
