Remarks
After getting my result and going to the orientation, i was very confused among vellore or chennai campus however there is always something or the other going on inside the Vellore campus, for sure. Having said that, the clubs and chapters are well established and since such things are just starting out in the Chennai campus, you will have a very good chance to get into some good clubs relatively easily as well as be a founding member/very active with lesser redtape. I myself participated in several clubs and got into pretty good position, despite being only a 2nd year student.
Course Curriculum Overview
I don't know the difference in qualifications of the professors but one thing is that there is less competition among students in Chennai since population is very less This means that chances of becoming a 9 pointer is very high which is what you need to get a good CV in the end. Also you get scholarships every year if you come in the top three people of your branch and batch.
Placement Experience
Placements in VIT are 100%. But the thing that matters is whether you are getting core company or not.Colleges with multiple campuses have centralized placement, ie. you have to come to the main campus if you want to appear for companies each time they visit your college, though there is complete transparency in placements and every one has equal opportunity.
College Events
It's quite hectic to be frank. And NO RAGGING. Seniors are the second best friends you could step into for anything and everything. Everyone is very helping in nature. The events are our way to have a nice vacation within the college and enjoy all the good food and play pranks and games on and with our friends.
