Remarks

CEC has set its own limits and boundaries for everything. It is not too strict.It does not give you so much freedom.Ragging is present only in a friendly way.College managements works just fine eventhough some teachers try to make that a school. Final remarks say that, it is very nice place have your most wonderful years spended.

Entrance Preview

I took the Kerala entrance for getting into CEC. My rank was 8416. I got the branch computer science. It was a merit seat. My fees was 20k per annum. I would have got management seat in electronics branch. I choose this college because it had a good positive review like, no politics in the campus since the college started.

Internships Opportunities

I didnt go for an internship. But there were few of my friends who went for it. It was through IEEE, FOCES, PRODEC forums. IEEE is hyperactive in our college. It is one of the leading branches in all India. So these forums organised some internships with few companies thats all. If a guy wants an internship it is proudly available for him in CEC.

Placement Experience

There is an active placement cell working in CEC. The main recuiters are TCS, Mindtree, Nest, AQ, infosys etc. Many other companies also recruit from out college but they will be offcampus job fairs. If you are good TCS will surely take you.

Fees and Financial Aid

For top 5 ranked students in kerala entrance admitted into the college will be given full fee concession for each branch. Loans are not provided from college. The students can avail other exterior scholarships like merit cum means, PM scholarship on their own.

Campus Life

Campus life is very enjoyable. The campus is not huge like other colleges but its beautiful. Girls are more than boys normally. Ratio may be 6:5. NSS , NCC are very active in CEC. sports, arts and skilled personalities will be given support for futher development of their skills in the respective field. All facilites for sports ,arts , labs and equipments are available.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very active in college. Successffull alumnis are brought back to college for inspirational speeches and guidance. Many alumnis have given me special guidance for my career. Top rank holders in civil service exams communicate to students every year.

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

THE COLLEGE ONLY FOR STUDIES .
