Experience

Both in Academics and personal experience my college St. Xavier's has never failed to get the highest gratitude. I will alwys be thankful to be a part of this college. Xavier's and my days spent over there were always very fun filled and hold a special place in my heart. And last but not the least 'Once a Xaverian is always a Xaverian'.

Our syllabus was different from the other colleges as it was autonomous. Curriculum was decent and justifiable to help us for our future study and build up a strong base idea of the subject in total. Examinations were held on the basis of semesters. Campusing was there obviously on the 3rd year.

All of us were allowed to apply for the placement in different companies on the 3rd year of our course. There were many good and reputed companies in which we went for our placement interview like Wipro, Cognizent, Abp, Oxford University Press etc. Overall it was a great experience.

As most of the people of Kolkata even the people from other states or countries know that along with their academic achievement pupil of SXC are very much engaged with the cultural programs. Xavier's itself provides everyone the joy of being a part of One of the most famous events like Xavotsav, Xavollash, Beyond Barriers, Sishu Mela etc. We, being the student of Xavier's feels extremely grateful that we got the chance to enjoy each and every bit of these amazing programa being both a participant or a viewer.

The fees structure was decent and quite affordable as well as the admission charge. There were no extra charge which we had to pay apart from our course fees. Payments were accepted in both Online and offline way. We never had any issue as such regarding the payment of our fees as such.

Scholarship facility for the students was there in Xavier's as it used to depend on the basis of the merit of the student. There was a certain amount which use to be given as a small token of appreciation and prize money on holiday a rank in the exams which has helped us to arrange an extra bit of study material for ourselves.

Xavier's has always proven to be Non-biased whenever it came to the gender ratio, ethnicity, race, caste, religion or sexual orientation. Though as it is a Catholic College, the reservation of seats were there for the Catholic students. Still rest of it used to be on the basis of merit and performance. My college was absolutely out of any political agenda. And their were proper administration to take care of the students to avoid any unethical behavior.

The ex students have joined the Alumni section and have dedicatedly worked as a member of the Alumni Association to reach out to the students. They sometimes arranges get togethers like a reunion for the passed out students.

I had several options on where to attend college and decided to join Xavier's for my graduation based primarily on the academic reputation for my major as it is one of finest college in Kolkata. I got selected on the basis of merit and the admission amount was also reasonable.

I am very much thankful to all my Professors as they have helped all of us much beyond than our expectations. They have taken care of each of the students by guiding them in every step of our academic career. All of them were highly educated and have an amazing teaching skill with the support of their own wisdom and deep knowledge about the subject.
