Entrance Preview

After appearing at WBJEE 2014 i ranked 12752 and gone through the e-councelling process, in the first round seat alotment i got a chance to admit in Dream institute of technology and i take admission.

Internships Opportunities

As i am the student of sceond year so i have not gone through the internship. Our college provides internship in the starting of fourth year. But i heard from our senior about their experience of internship.

Placement Experience

Our college provides many reputated companies like wipro, microsoft, amazon and many senior student got placed with high salary package.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college has keep an very reasonable fees structure around all the colleges in kolkata. We have to pay rs 310000 in just 4 years. Where other colleges demand more than rs 4 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not taken any loan and scholarship from our college. With the help of my family i have keep gone through my course.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students and alumni are very helpful to us, when we got any problem we are happily want help of the senior students of our colleges. With the help of alumni our college is ragging free college.

Exam Structure

In every year we have to give 4 exam. Two is internal and two is external which carry 10 marks per subject. An year is divided with two semester and we give exam every year in november and may.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
