Remarks

Excellent. My experience about the college, its process of imparting knowledge and the quality of college management are very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Learning process was manual in those days but it was very much effective, interactive, comprising of laboratory sessions and exercise. Industrial visit was done. At that time, there was no campus placement and industrial visits were conducted to impart further knowledge to students. Overall, the process of teaching was very much effective and job oriented.

Placement Experience

4.5

At that time, there was no direct placement. However, all necessary steps were taken at college level to make the students to appear before any exam or interview.

College Events

5

Technical and cultural programmeswere organized in the college with overall participation of students, professors and nonteaching staff. Even in the programmes, eminent persons in the city were being invited and they used to share their knowledge and experience with the students. Moreover, interactive sessions, debates were also organized. All were being done to impart and sharing knowledge with the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. There was scholarship facilities for meritorious students.Mode of payment was in cash/cheques/drafts etc.over the counter. At that time, there was no online payment system. No additional charge was levied for admission in college. There was 100% transparency in the fee-breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was awarded depending on performance in exams. Exams scoring in 12 class and weekly, quarterly tests were the criteria for eligibility of scholarship. Rs.5000 annually.

Campus Life

Every year there was sports competition among the students. Gender ratio was 2:1(male:female). Extracurricular activities in the form of debates, sports, cultural programmes were organized every year. There was special programmes on the anniversary date of the college. Workshops on subjects were also organized. Quote contests on science/economics/history/geography/general knowledge we re being organized.

Hostel Facilities

It was a non residential college. Therefore, the question of hostel facilities did not arise. However students who came from distant places used to stay in nearby PG or their relatives houses nearby. In nearby PG, the average rental was Rs.1000/-(approx).

Alumni/Alumna

Every year there is programme and get-together for Alumni. It is very helpful and worthy. We, the ex-students meet together and share our views on different subjects apart from personal interactions. It also enriched our knowledge at this stage also.

Admission

Chemistry Honours as I was very much interested about the subject. College was very renowned at that time, particularly, for their Chemistry Department with excellent faculty supportand I was admitted directly depending on my performance in class12. I had to filled up the relative application form and thereafter, after a few days I was called for interview to assess my knowledge in Chemistry. I was selected in the interview

Faculty

5

Excellent faculty support. It was 3 years course and every day there were 5 sessions. Good degree of knowledge was imparted through class room teaching. Extra classes were also organized to clear any doubt and also to train comparatively poor students. After the class was over, tests were taken on a number of days to test the penetration of knowledge. Lectures were very relevant at those days. Professors were very learned in their respective subjectOverall, we were very much enriched with knowledge of the subject.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus.
