College management is not very good in design, politics is involved. However, facilities are good and peers and campus life is good
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is diverse and focuses on practical learning. Exams as well are practical, only 1-2 subjects had a written exam. The others consist of a jury review of the work done. I was the first batch to join design, hence, we were the ones setting the bench mark of the course. It helped us lead and adapt to new situations, which makes me a better professional.
Placement Experience
Placement in design particularly is poor, since I am the first graduating batch and we are going through pandemic as well. Internships are easy to find and I have been interning with a company for 8 months now.
College Events
There are several departments in college and each department hosts their fests, we also have many other events like Bale Sale, Carnivals, etc. We also have an annual inter college fest. Festivals are also celebrated. Traditional dances and performances are held by professional groups for the students to enjoy and learn.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There are several qoutas through which one can get admission. I got through the normal qouta and the fee was 2,80,000. It increases by 20,000 every year. Additional fee is taken for exams, and fee break down is provided as well. There are about 3-4 more categories through which admission can be secured.
Fees and Financial Aid
Merit scholarship is provided every year. There are two types of scholarships. Mrd scholarship - the top 5% of the class recieved a sum of 5000. Cnr rao scholarship - top 20% of the class got 15% of their fees amount.All the students are eligible for it, only marks are considered for this.
Campus Life
Gender ratios depends on the course. Engineering was dominated by males while design was dominated by females. Bba had a more equal ratio. There are plenty of clubs and extracurricular activities on campus, we have a top - notch gym and the fees for it is also very reasonable. There are clubs for almost every kind of activity and they are all vert active as well.
Alumni/Alumna
Since we were the first batch, we are the first year of alumni in my course. However, I had many seniors from my school doing other courses, they were helpful when it came to understanding the college management and when help was needed around campus.
Admission
Entrance exam DAT, after that interview and portfolio review. Selection was told within 1 week and admission process was started after that. Multiple dates to write DAT, however, seats fill in first come first serve basis.Portfolio is must for design interview.
Faculty
We have in-house faculty (about 15). We also have visiting faculty which keeps changing from course to course. The in-house faculty mostly consist of post graduates and some professors do hold PhDs in their respective fields. They are easy to approach and clarify doubts as well. The visiting faculty are experienced in their industry and bring in industry knowledge.
