My Review

The college can be overall considered as above average it only lacks in the placement opportunities.

The curriculum is more research-driven. we cannot gain any professional skills from the curriculum. the curriculum is more focused to make you enable to do further research but it doesn't train you to compete in the industry as a professional. we don't get to learn the software and practices which are used in the industry. But the college does have a compulsory 5 month internship in the last year which is needed for graduation, which most of the colleges do not provide.

The college has the minimum required quality of placement activities. they conduct placement workshops which are beneficial but lack in inviting the companies for recruitment as it is located in the outskirts of Chennai city.

Our college two festival - technical called vashisht and cultural called samgatha. The technical fest does not have much participation except from computer science club. Samgatha is very well celebrated festival with numerous colleges and independent artist and bands participating in the competition.

The fee structure is very feasible its around 75000 per semester which includes all tuition, hostel, and mess fees. One can also apply for financial aid provided by the institute on the basis of the merit list. the mode of payment is mainly online or by Demand Draft. no cash payments are accepted. The fees breakdown is justified and we are shown the breakdown of the fees every semester.

I have availed the concession of tuition fees summing up to rs. 40000 by getting admitted in the SC Quota.

The gender ratio, female to male is very low. Sports are also given importance to our institution. we participate in one competition every semester which is sponsored by the college and the equipment are also provided for the major sports. we have many clubs-both technical and cultural, which includes CS club, robotics club, electrical design club, industrial design club, SAE club, UAV club, for cultural clubs we have gaming club, drama club, dance club, photography club etc.

The alumni club helps in getting their respective companies for placement in our college. The seniors are very helpful they guide us through our first year, during the transition of starting the college, not only academically seniors are also very helpful in sports, clubs, and literally everything.

I got admission on basis of JEE mans merit list. The admission is carried through Josaa, which is carried out online. I opt for the Smart manufacturing course because it was an interdisciplinary course. The institution is a Institute of National Importance ( INI) and it is governed by MHRD so it is more credible and also the cost of studying is economical compared to other colleges.

The faculty is one of the best most of them are elite in the industry and have doctorates from one of the top institutes like IIT Madras, IISc, etc. The time given to them for completing the syllabus is quite less otherwise they would be able to conduct the classes smoothly.
