Remarks

In terms of comparision of campus life since Lsr lies at south campus in south delhi even the basic student facilities like salons to pgs can be expensive as compared to delhi university's North campus. Also, Lsr follows a very strict policy of assignment submission.Attendance is v.strict and sometimes even honest reasons don't seem to convince the professors enough. All in all, there will always be even from my personal opinion a very fierce competition from every girl (any department)So, choosing the right friend over another is like walking on cracked eggshells.Managing societies and at same time meeting professors expectations could be very exhausting. All in all, it provides a huge dynamic process from the first day till the last day of college which makes differentiate between right and wrong and independent formation of a woman.

Course Curriculum Overview

As far as psychology hons is concerned it is v.exhausting.the classes start from 8.30 am to 4 pm.In each semester there are at least 2 researches to be conducted by students and theory exams which could fetch you 100 percent..The professers at most provide us with pdf of the core and generic elective books but donot provide us with ppt most of the times. As far as research is concerned every year its the same according to the core subject taken and plagarism isn't promoted.Exam marks distribution and course structure are as follows- Core paper is psychology honsGeneric elective is journalism Then, cbcs i.e. choice based credit system as per guidelines of delhi university i.e there for 3 years) subject and journalism (as a generic elective for which we only have to pursue for 2 years).Apart from choosing this course due to high income and employement rates this course also employs mandatory Aecc system which is a skill enhancement system. In sem 1 students are required to take Environmental science and sem 2 requires us to take English as advanced level course. Both of them last for 6 months and finish by 1st year.By the time we are in sem 3 we are provided with SEC which is a skill enhancement paper in your required core paper.Usually at Lsr organizational psychology is promoted. It also lasts for 6months.At the end of 2nd year we are finished with our generic elective/diploma course.3rd year follows same pattern but no diploma course and continuation of SEC courses. In every semester from 1st to 6th we are required to have practicals which involves extensive research skills. At the end of each semester viva and theory both are to be given to obtain perfect 100 percent.(practicals make 50 percent and theory 50 percent.)Books are mentioned by professors and there are no multiple choice question tests, all tests are lengthy and subjective in nature.

Placement Experience

5

Lady Shri Ram College For Women recieves one of the most prestigious companies for any field. Some of the companies which have visited LSR for placements are Kinsley, Hp,Google etc. Many highest packages offered are in the field of commerce.Lsr also boasts campus placements cell through which students are trained for placements in 3rd year. The tentative number of students getting placed is highest in commerce which is around 90 percent provided they applied. There are plenty of internships availabe for students of each department through internship cell of LSR.The internships are from limeroad, HP,Google(even overseas). The internships could be paid, unpaid.

College Events

2.5

Lsr boasts a lot of National events both inter and intra college. Recently it has extended its reach to IITs across the nation through the dance society dransoc and drama society dramsoc.Every year,Lsr celebtates DIWALI MELA which hosts celebrations, intra and college contests on art, sports, music, drama etc.Various other companies like Philips, Tinder,Bumble and other local textile and cosmetic brands promote their sales. Various NGO stalls are also put up selling various handicraft products.TARANG is one of the biggest fests in terms of dance, disco, music and fun for youth from both in and out colleges. It is celebrated in february-march.Various other companies like Philips, Tinder,Bumble and other local textile and cosmetic brands promote their sales. Various NGO stalls are also put up selling various handicraft products.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since LSR is a government college under University of Delhi its fee structure is not expensive. The registration of student is online which gives her a unique code. The fees is taken at the time of admission patment method could be online/offline,an atm is present at college.once accepted to course a roll number and id card is generated.Like any other government organisation it includes relaxation of marks through quotas like marks cut off is different for sc/st,general,pwd and economically weaker sections of society. There are also other scholarships available on basis of extracirrcular activities and marks.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarship opportunities in LSR, New Delhi. The criteria is for most of the students coming from disadvantage backgrounds. The procedure is either to apply directly at delhi university site online or offline at the administration office of the college. The highest sum of schlorship provided is usually a fee waiver for that particular year of college and the least is the provision of certificate of recognition from higher authorities. Some of scholarships which the students of Delhi university students apply the most for fee waiver is Tiara scholarshipG.l Bansal scholarshipsThe Elsa scholarshipsSome scholarships for studying abroad at Australia (la trobe university) and uk(oxford) are also available but even after scholarships the costs runs into lakhs and tge competition is fierce. Also while applying for scholarships one should be proficient in 4 areas1. 90-100 percent attendance2. Excellent meritious records3. Joining ECA (least 2 groups)4. Completing either Nss/Nsc/Ncc

Campus Life

In terms of comparision of campus life since Lsr lies at south campus in south delhi even the basic student facilities like salons to pgs can be expensive as compared to delhi university's North campus.Gender ratio= 100 percent girlsStudent/dorm parties aern't promoted inside the college but parties are promoted outside.cultural societies or Student diversity is emmense and students from all parts of India as well as from abroad flock LSR.In terms of tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status. There are regular speeches organized by different department every week to sensitize equality based on gender,be open to explore and promote a safe society for homosexuals but as the same time not endangering any other gender of society, criticicsms regarding domestic violence is promoted and women are trained to be independent. There is no idealization of a particular religion over other and girls of similar thoughts prevail to promote equal society for all men, women and all others i.e asexuals, bisexuals etc. There is no idealization of a particular political ideology over other and infact debates are promoted to help uplift societies in better ways. All in all, it provides a process from the first day till the last day of college which makes differentiate between right and wrong and ragging straightaway leads to expulsion of the bully.

Hostel Facilities

I have not opted for hostel for Lsr.The list for hostel is according to merit and the respective quotas from which the esteemed student belongs. The hostel fees is not as expensive as the food. For day scholars who have not got the hostel, they prefer to live in pgs which are very near to LSR itself. The security of hostel is extemely strict, sanitation facility for girls are alright and recreation is facilitated. Also, there is a certain amount of time restriction at what time hostelers could come back if they choose to go out with friends.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the senior students were extremely helpful in understanding a sudden kind of cultural and emotional shock which all freshers face once they enter college. The peer support programme along with college counsellor supports students who are having a hard time adjusting to new environment.Ragging by any senior would straightaway lead to expulsion of the bully and she may never get admission in any college of Delhi University. Also if by any chance a fresher is not able to make her merit needs fulfilled seniors are sure to give her notes in case of society overwork or any accidents (medical reasons). All in all, it provides a huge dynamic process from the first day till the last day of college which makes differentiate between right and wrong and independent formation of a woman.

Admission

I got admission into LSR, New Delhi through meeting the cut off of psychology hons as my main (core -cbcs i.e. choice based credit system as per guidelines of delhi university i.e there for 3 years) subject and journalism (as a generic elective for which we only have to pursue for 2 years).Apart from choosing this course due to high income and employement rates this course also employs mandatory Aecc system which is a skill enhancement system. At the end of each semester viva and theory both are to be given to obtain perfect 100 percent.

Faculty

The tentative numbers of lecturers in college are 8 and 2 on ad- hoc basis. They are able to complete the syllabis of students on time. There is 1 HOD and rest assissant professors, the ad-hoc professors. All the professors have completed their Phd and are specialized in their own respective fields. However, a trend which is common in other colleges in Delhi university and other colleges is generation gap at most times and the preassumptionn of all students being "intelligent"

Placements at my college are average, students become eligible from around the 5th semester. A few companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in entry level positions. The average package is moderate, while higher package are limited. Around 70 to 80% of students get placed. I plan to focus on skill development and explore better opportunities after completing my degree.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant as it contains useful concepts which a management student should know. And the concepts are very comprehensive and easy to understand. Examples are given in the curriculum which prepares us for the real world. Some teachers use the presentation based teaching which is good and should be encouraged. The exams are not that difficult for one who is atleast decent in studies.

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
