Entrance Preview

I have given 3 competitive exams IIT, AIEEE and Bits. I got this college through aieee score. Because as a citizen of rajasthan it's not possible for me to get admission in maharashtra without giving entrance exam of MH-CET which is now officially declared that out of maharashtra state students can also give that exam. So i got this college through AIEEE score.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Make competent Civil Engineers with high level of professional, moral and ethical values. Attain highest standards in theoretical as well as practical knowledge and skill set . Establish Center of Excellence in major areas of Civil Engineering to respond to the current and future needs of the industry, higher studies as well as research.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it provides internships as well. The general stipend is about 3000-6000 Rs. The overall experience is fabulous. Because of internship program it helps us a lot to know the current status of market and helps to learn new things.

Placement Experience

4

Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) offers about 60% placements, which is quite respectable. Cognizant is a regular and major recruiter offering a Rs. 3.5 lakh package. Others get into Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, Zensar, Patni all offering the standard 3-3.5 lakh salaries. A few (about 15-20) also get upwards of 4.5 lakhs. Computers and E&TC record nearly 100% placements with Information Technology following up close at about 80%. About half the mechanical people get jobs, while civil being the first year recorded poor placements.

College Events

4.5

Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), celebrates the Ganpati festival with great zeal. The techfest and cultural fest both are held in Mid February. Technical event- Percention, Cultural event - Gandharva, National event- Vishwapreneur ( National convention summit).

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is feasible to those who are belongs to rich family or middle class families and expensive for those who belongs to poor families .Fees is about 1, 20, 000 approx. Every year fees is increased by 1000-2000 Rs which is sometimes not affordable for poor families.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarships are thier for the students.caste related as well as education related and even low income families. Loan facilities as such is not aware by many of the students. Its good that college is providing such facilities to people so they can apply for it.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels arey pretty good for those who lives in for the 1st time. The hostels are not much lavish but not that much bad. One can live their for whole life of engineering. The best part is that it provides all facilities. The mess food is average. The cook appointed by the management is not that good. The food quality is good but taste is not upto the mark.

Alumni/Alumna

Relationships are more important than life, but it is important for those relationships to have life in them. Alumi network are very needy now a days. It helps to create a network. As a student i strongly believe that alumni network is very helful for me.They guide us what to do in future and tell how to plan everything. Their experience and knowledge about the current status of market helps us a lot and very helpful to take next step to thoughts.

Exam Structure

Exam schedule is not that much hectic. The schedule is well designed according to the needs. The students get enough time to study every subject. The main thing about the exam schedule is that the dates of examination never clashes with different branch students as well as students of different year.

Faculty

4

On a whole, the faculty is pretty good at Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT). Students save special praise for E&TC, Electronics, Mechanical and Computers professors, saying they are knowledgeable and understandable. The teaching techniques and technical knowledge is adorable. All the teachers are highly qualified. As a student i must say that they all are very good in teaching and having vast knowledge of their own subject.
