Fun loving college

For me my college was best as it had variety of things to do, nearby places to go and enjoy with friends. Yes some thing I can say about it is that it's crowd was not so good. Talking about college management -its good, they take care of every other thing regarding student.

AIEEE was the entrance exam I took to take admission in this college. I scored enough necessary to grab admission in this college. I opted for this college because it was very near to my home and was one of the renowned college of city and its placements were quite good.

Course curriculum included all main subjects required for study of electrical engineering. I had 8 semesters out of which 1 semester was of training and rest 7 included subjects that had knowledge of electrical engineering. First semester is common to all semesters and rest are purely based on the branch we choose. Subjects were tough of electrical but they were mandatory for all. Training semester is quite interesting because this gives much practical knowledge of what I had studied. So course curriculum was good.

Many companies came for internship during my time like TCS, LG, HCl, St microelectronics and highest stipend offers was of approx 20, 000 which was quite huge for students in our college. Many students utilized this opportunity of internship and later got placed in those companies itself

Companies like tcs, hcl, Samsung, LG came for recruitment of computer science and information technology students but there were less companies for my branch that is electrical but some companies came like orient fans and some other local companies which were good but offered less package in comparison.

College events included like tech fest and cultural fest. Specific names were given to these fests and were very popular. Many celebrities were called during these events. Events were held every year. Beside these events we celebrated major festivals like Ruplic day, independence day, Guru nanak jayanti, birthday of some famous scientists like A.P.J. Abdul Kalam sir. Celebrating events were fun and many students enjoyed their participation.

At my time fee structure was reasonable but nowadays there may be a huge hike in fees. My fees was Rs 45,000 of one year which included all fees like tutuion fees, lab Fees etc. So i think fees was very feasible at that time. So I did not feel any problem regarding fees during my time. But for my parents 45, 000 was also huge as I belonged to a middle class family.

There is no such scholarship I have heard of in my college. Loan facility may be there but have no idea about it.

Campus life was great as my college was on G.T. Road so transportation was very easy from there and not so many restrictions were there to deal with. Campus had a huge crowd and students were happy to be in this college including me. No ragging was there but as usual some cases are generally noticed so in that cases strict action is taken among those peopel and no kind of discrimination was felt during my college life. No racism was heard and nothing like that also.

Hostel facility as of every college is same. Same was with my college. But I can say they are average in comparison. Cleanliness was okay and expenses were average and at least two sharing rooms are there and also option for three sharing rooms are available.Three sharing room is cheaper as compared. Paying guests are also there nearby to the college but they can be expensive also for some students. Talking about the food of mess -it is hard to eat, very cheap quality and not tasty, It becomes very difficult to digest it. So we have to mostly eat out and increase our expenditure.

I have interaction only with some of my friends that I made during my college time. And as everyone is busy in their own lives so it becomes difficult to be in contact with them too But yes we often meet during some occasions or events.

As all engineering courses, same was with my college. We had a lot of exams during the all four years. Every semester two sessionals taking place regular three days without any holiday in between exams and then during semester exams we were not given enough holidays. So it was very hectic to deal with exams. It was very difficult for students who used to up down from delhi, gurgaon during exams. They used to stay with some friends in hostels.This exam time would become hectic time for students.

Faculty was superb of my college but sometimes they let us feel biased because they used to do partiality with some students and gave less marks to students. But they used to teach good and almost fair in other things. Faculty was highly qualified having degree of ph.d in their subjects and had good knowledgeof their subjects.
