Review of my college

When i was opting for engineering colleges, i browsed for almost all colleges and i found gecskp as a unique college by its place "Sreekrishnapuram".I thought of it as a village and it was exactly like that, an engineering college situated in a village type area. I found about 5 courses available in gecskp and i choose Information Technology as my core, as i like computer very much. Other available courses were Computer science and technology, Electronics and communication, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.EEE started in 2016, the year in which i started my college. I got selected to gecskp in my first allotment and i was asked to take admission on 16 th july.After taking admission , i again get back to college on July 31 as our first class was starting on Aug 1 2016. Whenever i feel any doubt about gecskp , i browse through the official website of our college that is www.gecskp.ac.in. The positive Vibes which i got from the college is the attitude of seniors.

I had took Information Technology as my course. The core subjects during the long 4 years include ICP, OOT, C,IT,DAMS etc. The student ratio of our class is about 1:2 .The number of Boys were less compared to girls.First year about 60 students were there and later some got transferred to other courses and in second year some lateral entry students came. Each subjects were taken by temporary and permanent staffs having good qualification. The temporary staffs were selected after the conduct of exam and interview from our college

The placements starts from final year ie,from 7 th semester. Most of exams we need to attend from outside colleges.Only a few placement exams were conducted in our college.In our batch almost students got placed from the 7 th srm itself and dome from 8 th sem.

There are many scholarships available like egrantz, mcb,central sector etc.As i was a egrantz scholar i got so many liberations from college fee and mess fee. We do not want to pay the whole amount fees like the general students pay.The sc students don't need to pay any fees.So i need to pay about rs 1700 per semester. In the final year i got to pay 2000rs. In the 8 th sem , i got placed in ust global having lpa of 3.4 and the placement support provided by gecskp is absolutely great.

Our Campus was excellent in case of unity and support. Seniors approach to juniors is good, even though there is a seniority between senior junior they will help and support juniors. In the case of techfest, arts day, sports day, college day the initiative taken by everyone is same for fund collection and all other activities. Many clubs are present in our college like cycling club, music club, dance club and social service Nss.

I have opt for college hostel as it has less fee compared to private hostels and the facility also.As i was an egrantz scholar , i only need to pay the fee of special items such as chicken, egg, fish fry taken by me. There are 2 types of rooms available ie; 3 person room and 4 person room.In three person room there will be a single wooden cot and a double decker cot along with 3 chairs nd 3 tables.There is a cupboard attached to wall and floor is sealed with tiles. There are 2 tube lights and 1 fan.In the case of 4 person room there are 2 double decker cot and 2 fans and 4 lights along with 4 chair and tables. Our mess is a wide hall inside our hostel with 8 large glass tables and many chairs with lighting and fan facility. Television with cable is also there in mess.We have reading room in all 3 floors. Underground floor is A, then top B then C.On the terrace the clothes can be put for drying in ropes.
