Remarks

This college is only for Commerce Student and only for Boys. And i belive this is a very good college for commerce student in kolkata. From this college RJ Mir and Cricketer Laxmi Ratan shukla pass out.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.com course is almost 36 months. In this college Professor is very good and also helpfull. College union and member is very friendly. Here no political programme is organised. Principal of this college is very motivated.

College Events

Sports event, Blood Donation camp , and many others cultural programme is organized by college. In this college no Religious event like Puja is not organized because this college is under "Brahammo Samaj".

Sports event is organized by college union. There is no wi fi in this college. Library room is availabe and size is 2000 sq ft approximate. As it is a commerce college there is no chemistry Lab but Computer practical room is there.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
