Remarks
I chose BCA Hons. Course should be more industry oriented, this thought has crossed my mind several times, but then again without getting familiar with the theory you are just a robot. So students please stop complaining about the vast ocean of theoretical knowledge. But assignments are of no good, period.
Course Curriculum Overview
Some teachers think they are helpful but they are a pain in reality. All of the facility is pretty well qualified. Teaching quality of some of the teachers are not as good but teachers of core department are great. Lost of curriculum to take place in throughout the whole academic year. I will not say it makes students completely industry ready but to a great extend it does.
Placement Experience
More than 80% of our batch mates have been placed. The highest salary offered was 10+LPA and the lowest salary offered was 2.4lpa, but most of the offers were around 3.4-4.6 LPA. Top recruiting company was BOSCH and Byjus. Top roles were in management section. Around 60% were offered internships and they were under wbsedcl, cesc, and Bosch.
College Events
Our college is fully NBA certified, so overall quality is up to the mark. Wi-Fi is available for the students availing for a student laptop during admission, although jio offers free internet throughout the whole college campus. Labs are pretty nice so are the classrooms and library. Hostel facilities are pretty average, canteen food of campus was not good at all tbh. Medical facilities are good on demand.
Campus Life
Outdoor sports take place in a separate ground nearby and for indoor games, carrom and TT is available. Something that I don't definitely mention is our student chapter of IET and SPIE. These two are really good platforms to grow oneself. As an ex pr and media manager of IET students chapter I would definitely recommend electrical students to join IET and ECE students to join SPIE. And our cultural fest elixir is one of the best in town if not the best.
