Remarks

I Don't live in kolkata.So i searched for the top 10 commerce College in kolkata and it was one of them. My relatives who live there told me it was a good college. The fee structure was good and the location was convenient too.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was fully updated.The professors are friendly and easy to approach.There wasn't many but enough industrial exposure was provided. Every faculties present are good and easy to approach.

Placement Experience

Not many but few companies come with placement opportunities. One of them being TCS. The job opportunities are okay okay. Due to the situation of covid-19 and the graduation being posponted i haven't been able to experience any placements so i can't provide appropriate information.

College Events

The campus life is very happening. Our college holds many fests. Such as fresher's day, Holi, Socials, sports day, Saraswati Puja etc. The events are organised keeping in mind the best interests of the students. Majority of the students participate in them and have fun.

Our college hosts an animal sports meet every year were all the students and teachers participate. Free wi-fi are given in places like library and canteen. Two libraries are present i.e.seminar and central. The seminar library providers the majority of new syllabus book whereas the central library has a huge hall where you can sit and read. The central library holds the most number of books including the new and old syllabus. Computer labs are fully equipped.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Moderate College Life.

After HS I applied many colleges but I didn't got chance at the top notch colleges as they damand more marks than I got. After trying so many colleges I finally got admitted to this college.
