Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies is considered to be one of the top colleges in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for BBA. It is ranked as 2nd in GGSIPU. It's goodwill is good from rest of IPU colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty is really good. 8/10 if you ask me. All teachers are really knowledgeable and intelligent. But some teachers can give you a really hard time. Teachings are made only according to curriculum. No extra knowledge or practical knowledge is given about the industry. I feel that some changes should be made in curriculum and teaching methods. Else I am satisfied with faculty members as they are friendly in nature and would love to help you whenever you want.
Placement Experience
I can't comment on exact position of placements. Placements are average as I heard from passing out batch. The minimum package is of 3.5 LPA - 4LPA. Deloitte, IBM, Wipro are some of recruitment companies that visits to the campus for the recruitment. Placement opportunities are not that great. college doesn't help in internships.
College Events
There are many societies in college for students like Compactt, Bizmind, Enactus, Swaraag, Nirvana and many more. These societies organize various fests, guest lectures and seminars from time to time. College celebrates almost every festivals. Fests are no that great but you can have a good time. I would suggest to join a good society to enjoy the fests time.
Campus Life
Campus area is built in approx. 10 acres of land and is shared by MAIMS and MAITS both. There are 9 blocks in the college and 10th one is under construction. Currently, MAIMS have two buildings and rest are assigned to MAIT. The college also offers a big spacious auditorium with good air conditioners where major seminars, fests, guest lectures and other events take place. Canteen food is average but if you want to try something else go for off campus options.
