Remarks
Because after the ranks were published, I chose this college as it provides great return in terms of investment as compared to other colleges and also easily accessible from my home. And since preferred stream was Electronics, I head that the placement was also good enough.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum is set up MAKAUT University formerly WBUT. The syllabus is at par with the AICTE norms. The college provides seminars both online and industrial visits, and also the overall laboratory facilities were good.
Placement Experience
The companies that visits the campus are TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, HCL, Accenture, Mindtree, Capgemini and many others. The placement cell is by far the best thing about the college. The alumni network as far as my department is concerned is good. There are many alumni who had settles abroad and are working for companies like Texas Instruments, Google, Apple etc.
College Events
There are four clubs in the college namely the cultural, technical, film and sports club. Each club organises it's annual fest. The largest technical fest is organised by Xplorica(techno-management club) under the name of 'Phoenix' which is also one of the largest tech fest in Kolkata. Other than that, the cultural fest, 'Flames' was also very extravagant.
Campus Life
The campus is not large enough but the infrastructure is decent. I love the library especially. It is really well equipped with also kinds of books needed for studying a particular subject and even for out knowledge.
Hostel Facilities
The college does not have its own hostel facility. One can opt for a PG in the nearby vicinity. The average rentals per head lies between 1000-2000. Mostly people share one room PG which costs around 3000 to 4000 rupees.
