Course Curriculum Overview
Our college follows the syllabus provided by the state university MAKAUT along with the online course subscription in NPTEL.Hardly any industrial exposure is provided from our college and if one needs to gain certain experience in the the industries they need to do it on their own.Faculties are usually student friendly and are always ready to help their students with their queries as much as possible.
Placement Experience
Companies like Cognizant, Wipro Infotech, Tata Consultancy Service,etc usually recruits students every year from our college. From the very beginning of the 4th year the students are provided with all the grooming classes needed for them for better placement opportunities .
College Events
Our college has 4 clubs each concentrating on different kinds of activities.Explorica- which engages students in various technical activities like robotics etc. and also non-technical activities like quiz debates, photography etcCulruv- The cultural club of FIEM which provides platform for student in various cultural activities like singing, dancing, drama, etc.Sportivo- which engages students in various sporting activities llike cricket, football, table tennis, badminton, basketball,etc.Estrella- It is the official film making club of our college.
Campus Life
The campus size is rather small compared to few other engineering and management colleges present in Kolkata. It does have a small ground for playing football and a full size basketball court. The college even provides their students with a hall room for playing table tennis. Students are denied the access to the college wifi. Other facilities include a nominal library with basic audio-visual aids and medical facilities along with different laboratories providing all the necessary equipment needed by the students .
Hostel Facilities
Unfortunately our college does not have any hostel facilities but a number of PG's are available close to our college thus helping the students to get a place to stay near their college. The rent of the PG varies from 4500-5500 per month covering the food charges.
