This college is situated in my hometown. It is one of the top three law schools of India. Placement records have been high as more than half of the students get placed in tier 1 law firms. Faculty is good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is updated every academic year. It more or less covers every important areas of law. Class rooms are well equipped with modern technologies like touch sensitive boards, projectors, smart podiums. Professors teach by engaging the whole class. PPT slides and Videos are used to make things clear. Academic department is a bit lethargic in its approach but the student body makes sure that students have no issues concerning academics.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities one gets by studying in NUJS is equal to IITs and IIMs. Students are usually offered several job offers right after their 4th year. The job offers are mostly from law firms and companies. If one does not get job offers in their 4th year then they try in their 5th year.
College Events
Anyone studying in NUJS will get a lot of exposure, especially because of the diversity of students studying here. Cultural fests are held throughout the year. No one is left behind in participating in the fests and programs. Holi is celebrated in the common area in front of hostels for two consecutive days. So, overall it is never a boring day in NUJS.
Hostel Facilities
In the first year, the students are allocated rooms in flats which is like a dorm. More than 5 students stay in one flat with separate beds for each student. Students from their second year are allowed to stay in hostel with either two of their batchmates or in single occupancy according to their ranks.
