Remarks
I wanted to join Merchany Navy. This is the best government college for doing so. Moreover some of my seniors who are already in Merchant Navy recommended me to join this college. This college has a very good reputation in maritime field as it is since 1949.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is streamlined to marine field. It has topics related to mechanical and electrical fields. Faculties here are the experienced ones. Most of them are from maritime sector and are a passout of this college.
Placement Experience
Good maritime companies visit our college for placement. Placement is done through written exams followed by interviews.
College Events
Cultural sector is quite good. There are many cultural activities taking place all over the year. Management is quite good. However administration is quite slow and out dated. There's a annui fest - Tempest organised by students. It lasts for 7 days. It's full of joy and enjoyment.
Fees and Financial Aid
I've availed a scholarship of 75000. There are many scholarship schemes available. 1st one gets 100000, top 30 gets 75000 and next top 30 gets 50000.
Campus Life
Campus is fully equipped with wifi. Sports curriculum is very good in college. Libraries are well equipped with many books related to both maritime field and other fields. It has the largest workshop in Asia. There are many well equipped labs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is quite good. There are seperate hostels for every year. First year junior hostel, east wing, west wing, OBC, and the Senior Hostel. In junior hostel there're 5 students in one room. East wing and west wing room has 4 students. Obc has 3 and senior hostel has seperate room for every student.
