Remarks

I wanted to study medicine more than anything else I had heard about the good study environment and peer circle of this college This college is very near to my residence I scored a decent rank to get in here I had heard about the better academic opportunities which are offered here

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is very vast and syllabus very relevant Academics I feel is a bit old fashioned and there is a lack of innovative approaches. Faculties are good especially the surgery professors and the surgery department.

Placement is one year internship within the hospital. Then we can either opt for post graduation or house job

College Events

Campus life is very satisfying. Theres scope for music, group talks, lots of festivals. The annual fest lobelia is celebrated in a massive scale with huge participation from other colleges as well. Many medical fests like SAMSACON are also organised here

Campus Life

The library is very good in terms of space, books etc but there is a lack of scope of reviewing journals Labs are fair enough. Wifi is provided But there is a shortage of usable desktops Also there is a lack of presentation facilities, group discussions etc

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

So I got admission in Rgkmch based on my AIR of 8107 in AIQ in open seat quota in 2023. I had placed RGKMCH in my preference list as it is one of the oldest medical institutions of India. You have to clear NEET UG cut off for our college which varies according to your category . Cut off is high as our college is third most sought college in WB. R.G.kar Medical college, The home for the Best Future Doctors.

You need to qualify for the NEET UG exam. With an Air of around Rs 10000-13000 to get into this college. All details of admission are available on the MCI and WBMCC websites.
