Remarks

There are many factors for choosing this college, but the main factor was it's campus, I was attracted towards the campus and its sports arena was also a attraction for me, it has a rooftop football field, cricket field.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college provides a very good course curriculum. Teachers available in our college are very good. They teach us very well. We learned new subjects closely realted with law and business. Also library is most beautiful.

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 262000 per year

Placement Experience

The college provides pretty average placements. The college doesn't offer any postgraduate courses, so only a few students get placed from here. The undergraduate courses are good. The highest salary package offered is up to 6 lac per annum. Overall, it's a good and worthwhile experience.

College Events

The crowd you get there is the best in Kolkata. Mostly, students from law and business communities study here. Party culture exists. Football, Cricket and other indoor games and activities were also organised which was fun. There are many good cafes and clubs nearby the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

1. Students generally get eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester of the M.Sc. course. 2. Deperments like Biotechnology,Botany,Zoology have placement support. 3. Companies coming to campus like TCS,Wipro,Deloitte,Biocon,Pfizer. 4. Deperments with strong placement cells secure 10-15 offers per company, depending on batch size. 5. 8-10LPA Highest package offered by Leading companies and 4-5LPA Average package offered by companies. 6. 60-80% of students getting placements. i am interested in Ph.D. programs for research positions.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
