Best campus life ever.

I think i am really grateful to study in this college i have experienced a lot gained a lot and learnt a lot from my heartiest faculties and seniors i love my college ciem very much.

I got selected in this college through wbjee and i had secured a rank 12356 this college is at a stone throw distance from my homme and the infrastructure and the faculty of this college is much better compared to the other colleges so i choose this colllege.

The curriculum of the course is much bettter compared to the other universities the course comprises of all topics and from various fields which enables a student to become a successful engineer an approach to continuous program improvement that asks the right questions can provide academic administrators, faculty members, and others with the information they need to develop an appropriate, effective, and efficient academic program the focus here is on undergraduate programs, but identical principles apply to curriculum at the graduate level as well.

Some internships are already established and students design others internships are offered every term, including summer when it is clear that the experience will require an integration of knowledge from the classroom with work experience, then academic credit may be earned past students have interned with state and national government agencies, local hospitals, veterinarians, doctors, newspapers, television stations, high-tech and finance companies the general stipend provided by our college is around 4000rs per month.

The institute has successfully constructed a strong infrastructure to cater to the training needs of the students and provide them with a strong platform in respect to placement assistance in the industrial, technical and managerial fields this year, the 2012 batch has a recorded placement of above 80% in B.Tech stream and upto 50% in bba/bca. the pass out batch has undergone vocational trainings at various reputed organisations such as bsnl, siemens, dvc, tcs, webel informatics ltd., ibm, indian oil corporation ltd, tata communications ltd, ntpc, sail power co. ltd, cesc ltd, south eastern railways, airport authority of india, air india ltd, variable energy cyclotron centre, metro railways, wbpdcl, durgapur steel plant, etc.

Celsius is a three day cultural, technical and sports symposium. slated to happen in the month of april 2013 ( 4th, 5th, 6th) celsius will bring about an amalgamation of all the sports, cultural and technical talent of ciem as well as other colleges all the events that will take place are on an inter college basis. the expected footfall is 6000 and more the event will be graced by local as well as national level artists and brands events: sports: carom, football, badminton, volleyball, chess, cricket cultural song competition, dance competition, band competition, debate, extempore, quiz competition, photography competition, short film, drama competition technical, gaming( nfs, fifa, counter strike), robotics(obstacle, king of the ring).

10% students are given education with full waiver of fees 10% students are given education with half waiver of fees this is in accordance with the rules framed by higher education department, govt of west bengal and strictly on merit basis bank loans are arranged for the students from nationalized banks.

If i could talk to myself as a high school senior, i would share the following advice don't be afraid to make mistakes i've learned the most from those life lessons college is a unique time in any young person's life, and for me, this was no exception i relished in the opportunity and tried to experience as much as i could i also made some mistakes along the way mistakes like not double-checking my calculations on the math exam, not visiting my professor during office hours, and eating the meatloaf in the cafeteria but with all of the mistakes i made along the way, there was a little life lesson there that gave me perspective, self-awareness, and the confidence that i could get it right the next time. mistakes are simply life's way of letting us know that we tried, and that it's okay to get back up and try again.

Hostels are located in ciem campus there are 1 men's hostels, which accommodate 1000 students in single, double, three, four bedded and six bedded rooms a gym facility is also attached with a well maintained swimming pool the women's hostels have room for 500 students women students have access to gym facilities and a newly built swimming pool inside one of these hostel premises individual metering service for those who want a/c facilities is also provided optional washing services are provided in well maintained separate washing areas.

The seniors of our college are really helpful and supportive in every aspect they usually came forward in our nrrds and in the hardest situation in our life i think i am really grateful to study in this college i have experienced a lot gained a lot and learnt a lot from my heartiest faculties and seniors.

The exam structure is divided into two sections which helds twice in a year a student is required to pass in every exam to get promoted in the next year the practical exams are followed by the written exams the se exam tests your ability to competently practice structural engineering it is specifically designed for engineers who practice in jurisdictions that may license structural engineers separately from other professional engineers using a separate vertical and lateral component, this 16-hour exam tests your ability to safely design buildings or bridges, particularly in areas of high seismicity and high wind.

Traditionally, the college has always had a scholarly faculty it has a set of highly motivated teachers, many of whom are involved in active research and post-graduate teaching as guest lecturers at various universities some faculty members have taken up advance research projects in collaboration with other universities and reputed institutes we have a high success rate and a large number of students who graduate from our college pursue further studies at various prestigious universities in india and abroad the number of classes taken by any department is among the highest in the state there is a rare familial relation between faculty and students, which allows students easy access to teachers academic difficulties are, therefore, easily sorted out.
