Remarks

My College ranked 11 in 2017 in the India Today ranking of all India Medical colleges. It has trauma care unit and poison information centre the only college to have it in eastern India. Co curricular activities include freshers, 4 day fest- lobelia, convocation, reunion and saraswati puja.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is in accordance with MCI and with experienced faculties in most depts like Ramanuj sir in surgery. Teachersho are ex students of prestigious AIIMS, DELHI. Course moves very properly with proper guidance to individual students.

Everybody gets placed.This is a field which will hardly see any recession. Medical personel are always needed and this is proven again by the corona virus pandemic.

College Events

4 day cultural fest- Lobelia which is the biggest attraction with stars pike farhan akhtar, vishal shekhar,and bands like indian ocean and fossils rocking the stage. Other events include Freshers- Metamorfosis, Reunion and saraswati puja.

Campus Life

All kinds of sports are played in parks near college, the library is spacious and air conditioned capable of holding more than 300 students at a time.Centralized wifi provided by jio. Labs include all the modern equipments in all the departments with latest technology.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

So I got admission in Rgkmch based on my AIR of 8107 in AIQ in open seat quota in 2023. I had placed RGKMCH in my preference list as it is one of the oldest medical institutions of India. It is located in a prime location in Kolkata. It has a good alumni network. Rg kar medical college hostel, education and college life review

You have to clear NEET UG cut off for our college which varies according to your category . Cut off is high as our college is third most sought college in WB. R.G.kar Medical college, The home for the Best Future Doctors.

You need to qualify for the NEET UG exam. With an Air of around Rs 10000-13000 to get into this college. All details of admission are available on the MCI and WBMCC websites.
